Kara Linn: Managing Partner and Chief Talent Advisor


Kara is co-founder of Denham and Steele, LLC.  She has a bachelor’s degree in education (magna cum laud) from Texas Tech University with emphases in speech and political science.  She taught speech to high school students and English as a Second Language (ESL) to children kindergarten through Grade 12.

Kara left education to develop a successful career in the telecommunications industry where she was a technical sales expert and Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).

Kara was then invited to join Management Recruiters Int’l (MRI) in Salt Lake City, UT, as a Search Consultant, beginning her career as a Talent Advisor to biotech and pharmaceutical companies as well as other types of companies operating in the Life Sciences space.  During her tenure as a Talent Advisor she has fulfilled client needs for Chief Medical Officer, Directors of Clinical Operations, Clinical Research Associates, Biostatisticians from entry level to Vice President in both non-clinical and clinical roles, as well as a variety of Data Science and Analytics positions.

We follow tried and true best practices of our industry in order to reduce the risk of turn-downs (candidate turns down an offer after extensive time has been invested in the interview process) and fall-offs (candidate reneges after accepting an offer, does not show up on his/her start date or quits/is fired shortly after being hired).  

Because of our due diligence, commitment to detail, and  putting our emphasis on the best interests of others, we have a career 3-year retention rate of over 90%.
